Our Kitchen Team needs to expand to manage customer demand so we are looking for an experienced Cook/Chef to add to an already passionate and qualified team dynamic. It is essential that applicants possess either a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) to be considered.
The Grand Terminus is a very busy venue and you need to be able to adapt in a fast pace environment. We are extremely food focused so we are looking for a Chef/Cook who is looking to be challenged, both creatively and operationally. You will be a team player who has excellent interpersonal skills along with a positive and enthusiastic approach to food and service.
The pub is committed to using local produce from East Gippsland and over the last 2 years has built great relationships with our local suppliers. We are located 3 hours from Melbourne.
You should have: 2 years minimum experience in a busy kitchen
A desire to take your kitchen career to the next levelGreat communication skills
A knowledge of food and commitment to producing food of the highest quality and presentation.
Good time management and organisational skills, with the proven ability to plan, prepare and think ahead.
A commitment to prioritise hygiene, food handling and health & safety procedures.
Self-motivation but also the ability to work in a team.
A passion for excellent service with a positive can-do attitude.
Great availability, including weekends and nights.
This is a full-time position, and the Kitchen is open Lunch and Dinner 7 Days a week. You will be required to work 38 hours per week over 4 days of spilt shifts with three days off every week. For this you will be well remunerated.
