Telecommunications Engineer will lead the design phase and co-ordinate the design interfaces with other disciplines across the business as needed ensuring that designs are created to the client's requirements and expectations. They will also help in getting the site make ready for approval through DBoR updates.
Qualifications & experience
At least two years of experience working with Telstra Wireless and Wideband fixed network site design, handover processes, and As-Built update of DBoR systems including IDEAL, CANRAD, Structure Builder, MITS, RODS, RFNSA, CADlink, Multiman, CRAMER, TPD, and WHISPER.
Update of Engineering designs on DBoR systems as per design rules and specifications at all times with particular regard to the performance of design-related activities.Demonstrated experience in working with Telstra design guidelines and compliance principles for 4G Augmentation and 5G upgrade for macro, small cell, IBC and DAS systems in Telstra Wireless sites.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and help with smoother project delivery.
Ideally, a degree qualified in Telecommunications Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines.
Demonstrate experience in industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD.
Tasks & responsibilities
Review the As-Built Handover Packs (HOPs) and communicate with external partners to collect the missing information in the handover packs necessary to fully update the Telstra DBoRs systems.Critically review design information including pre and post-construction photographs, redline markups, for construction documentation, as-built drawings, structural certifications, and audit returns rectifications.
Cross verify between DBoR systems to fully synchronize the same information in all Telstra DBoRs.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to the current DBoRS update process to produce in Quality and Quantity of submissions to the client.
Compile and prepare all design and handover information for subsequent submission to the client and construction partners, ensure all design documents and supporting information are complete and uploaded in both client and internal system
Perform quality assurance and check on all submissions prior to delivery to client systems.
Ensure all design and as-built update activities are as per client specifications and contract at all times including legislative requirements of safety in design and other relevant standards, Regulations, and Codes.
