With growing demand and steady service volumes, we are seeking a talented Chef to join our kitchen team.

Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation

About the Role

The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of Indian dishes, supporting smooth kitchen operations, and maintaining consistent food quality. You will work across multiple stations, assist with prep and service, and ensure dishes meet the restaurant’s flavour and presentation standards.

1. Prepare and cook Indian entrées, curries, tandoori items, breads, and specialty dishes.
2. Operate and maintain tandoor ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
4. Assist with menu updates, daily specials, and recipe adjustments.
5. Check ingredients for freshness, quality, and correct storage practices.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen sections.
7. Support stock management, rotation, and ordering of supplies.
8. Follow safe food handling, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
9. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver smooth and timely service.

1. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or overseas equivalent.
2. Minimum 1–2 years’ experience working as a Chef in an Indian kitchen or similar commercial setting (required for 482 visa).
3. Strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking methods, and tandoori techniques.
4. Ability to work efficiently during peak service periods.
5. Good communication and teamwork skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.
