We are now looking for a passionate and qualified Educator to join our committed team in Merimbula.
The Role
As a full-time Diploma-qualified Educator, you will play a key role in supporting children's development and wellbeing through engaging programs that reflect their interests and developmental needs and learning through nature and play. You will work collaboratively with a team of educators, contribute to continuous improvement, and build strong relationships with children and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with designing and implementing stimulating, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Provide quality care that supports the physical and emotional development of children
- Preparing learning activities with the best interests of all children at the heart
- Engage children in nature-based play, promoting curiosity, exploration, and connection to the environment
- Observe, assess, and document children's development and learning progress
- Develop positive and respectful relationships with children and their families
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and centre policies
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate and supervise team members and participate in ongoing professional development
- Uphold the Little Nippers philosophy, values, and Code of Ethics at all times
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent, recognised in Australia)
- Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Education and Care Services National Law & Regulations
- Ability to supervise junior staff
- Passionate about early childhood education and committed to best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certifications
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a childcare centre or long day care
