This role is for an experienced Mechanical Technician to be part of our team responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, lubrication and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment

Job Tasks & Duties- Ensure that the system and other onsite infrastructure is operational, and issues are rectified safely, quickly and efficiently.
- Performing tests on the equipment through thorough inspection.
- Following the mechanical maintenance plans to prevent equipment breakdowns, in particular lubrication maintenance.
- Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as perform the necessary repairs to restore to full functionality.
- Flexible approach, sense of ownership of your role, and your ability to develop strong working internal relationships
- Assists where required in the supervision, control & planning of day-to-day project activities.
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Monitor works progress to ensure it is in line with the contract schedule and bring any delayed work up to date
- Prepare weekly progress reports on the different clients
- Champions the client’s sites lubrication program / Preventive & Proactive tasks to add value to the client
- Actively contributes to the client’s engineering teams KPI’s, encompassing safety, SWP’s, CI teams and RCFA’s
- Provides mentoring and technical support for technicians in team
- Effectively managing the condition monitoring system for the critical equipment
- Complete any non-routine inspection requests as required
- Organise and check mechanical assembly work by subcontractors involved in Iot projects such Apps development for Industry 4.0
- Commitment and outstanding attitude to safety and workplace culture.
- Ability to communicate effectively to manage the difficult times with client, suppliers and with co working team members
Desirable Skills and Experience required:
Mechanical Engineering Certificate IV or diploma or degree or equivalent professional experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in Paper Mill or any manufacturing plant with the proven record experience in lubrication, maintenance, vibration related with lubrication issues
Ability to problem solve and work as an effective team memberJob Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
8 hour shiftOvertime
Supplementary Pay:
Overtime payWork Location: In person
