Child Care Worker

Snuggles Early Learning Centre is seeking a dedicated and reliable Full Time Child Care Worker (38 hour per week) to support the daily care, learning and development of children. The successful candidate will assist with educational and recreational activities, supervise children throughout their daily routine, and help create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Snuggles Early Learning Centre provides a caring, safe and engaging environment where children are supported in their early learning, development and daily wellbeing. The Centre focuses on creating positive learning experiences through structured activities, play-based learning, social interaction and attentive supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the organisation and preparation of resources, materials and equipment for children’s learning, play and recreational programs;
• Supporting positive behaviour management and encouraging children’s social, emotional and interpersonal development;
• Planning, preparing and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning, creativity and participation;
• Engaging and entertaining children through storytelling, reading, games and interactive play;
• Monitoring and supervising children during indoor and outdoor recreational activities;
• Overseeing children’s daily routines, including meals, rest periods, transitions and group activities;
• Supporting and supervising children’s personal hygiene, cleanliness and general wellbeing.

Applicants must:

• Completed at least a relevant Certificate III qualification
• A minimum of 1 year full-time work experience as a Child Care Worker
• Be caring, patient and attentive
• Be able to communicate effectively with children, families and staff;
• Be reliable and organised;
• Be committed to children’s safety, wellbeing and development;
• Be able to work cooperatively as part of a childcare team.
