Position Title: Restaurant ManagerEmployment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Award Wage — as per the Restaurant Industry Award, paid in full compliance with the Fair Work Act

Key Responsibilities
Oversee all daily cafe and restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
Lead, train, mentor, and manage front-of-house and kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards
Prepare and serve specialty espresso-based beverages to a high barista standard; maintain coffee quality consistency
Manage inventory, ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships to minimise waste and control costs
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene regulations, and Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) standards
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally to maintain guest satisfaction
Monitor financial performance, including budgets, revenue targets, labour costs, and reporting
Maintain and upkeep all coffee equipment, including routine cleaning and minor maintenance
Foster a positive team culture aligned with the cafe's brand values and service philosophy
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in a Restaurant Manager, Cafe Manager, or Senior Hospitality Management role
Highly skilled barista with strong expertise in espresso preparation, milk texturing, latte art, and coffee brewing methods
Deep passion for specialty coffee, food culture, and delivering outstanding guest experiences
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to build and motivate a team
Solid understanding of food safety standards and current Australian hospitality regulations
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cafe management software
Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required
Relevant hospitality qualifications (Certificate III/IV in Hospitality or equivalent) highly regarded
Current Food Handler/Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is desirable
