Requirements

What You'll Do:

• Ownership of the multitenant VMWare private cloud platform, and it’s availability.
• Day to day management, including security patching and software updates.
• Management of the ancillary services - Veeam Backup, Monitoring, Hardware, etc.
• Identifying problems and areas for improvement, investigating the options to resolve/improve.
• Planning and implementing projects for improvement, or capability expansion.
• Exploring new technologies that could benefit the business or platform.
• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect client systems and data.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations.
• Providing guidance to other team members to ensure the organisations overall technical competency and knowledge.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.

What you'll bring:

• Must be able and willing to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
• Extensive experience in the systems space, preferably in a similar multi-tenant IAAS environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to IT and non-IT stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Must-have experience with the following technologies:

• VMWare ESXi, vSphere
• Linux operating systems / applications; Specifically Debian/Ubuntu.

Desirable experience with the following technologies:

• VMWare Cloud Director, Cloud Director Availability, SDDC Manager, NSX-T, Aria Suite.
• Veeam Backup product suite; Enterprise Manager, Service Provider Console, Cloud Connect, Backup for 365.
• Windows operating systems / applications; Server 2019/2022, SQL, DCs, DNS.
• Server and SAN hardware, fibre channel storage networking.
• DNS, PKI, Scripting, APIs.
• Networking and Security fundamentals.
