Senior Payroll Officer
Queensland Health Brisbane
The successful candidate will utilise advanced payroll skills and in-depth knowledge to resolve complex payroll issues while providing mentoring and coaching to staff to meet team performance standards. Additionally, you will accurately execute payroll functions, including rostering and HR master data maintenance, in a timely manner.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary Human Resource Management issues, as well as the ability to access and interpret relevant industrial awards, agreements, statutory regulations and legislation relating to payroll.
- Demonstrated advanced conceptual, analytical and problem solving abilities in relation to complex payroll and establishment issues including utilising a risk management approach to the prioritisation and management of complex cases.
- Proven ability to support and mentor payroll staff and contribute to ongoing individual and team development and effectiveness and the achievement of agreed performance objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to process separations following standard business processes and analyse system derived payment outcomes to assure accurate separation payments to customers.
- Demonstrated advanced interpersonal, communication and client services skills with a diverse range of clients.
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
