What willI be doing?
This role is part of the Service Operations and Infrastructure Group and liaises with Business Customers, various IT departments, Service Providers and vendors. The role will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing and optimising the capacity and performance of the Woolworths on-premise and public cloud infrastructure by working with our partners to provide hands-on technical expertise and delivery.As an experienced IT professional with strong analytical skills essential for all aspects of Capacity and Performance management and reporting, you will also be heavily involved in setting standards ensuring the compliance to those standards by the support partners.
This role also includes ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. You will bring your existing expertise in this area and take ownership and use an automated and proactive approach to maintaining the health and efficiency of the Woolworths IT infrastructure.
- Ensure partners deliver to contractual outcomes of Performance and Capacity management.
- Work with Service Providers and external Vendors to agree and maintain standards aligned with industry best practices.
- Operational ownership of Availability, Performance, & Capacity in relevant environments.
- Ownership for operational standards and practices in Woolworths ITIL-driven Capacity and Performance landscape
- Fulfilling ad-hoc requests for performance and capacity reviews and recommendations from the business.
- Monitor and analyze the utilization of IT resources, including servers, storage, network, and cloud services.
- Forecast future capacity needs based on trends, growth, and business requirements.
- Develop standardised reporting structures using a data repository updated real time and near real-time via automation of the data collections.
- Years of progressive experience in Enterprise level IT environments hosted in private and public cloud platforms
- Experience with performance monitoring tools available in cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tool sets such as Splunk
- Experience with Visualization Platforms such as Tableau, Looker(GCP)
- Experience with Data Analytics platforms such as BigQuery(GCP) and working with large datasets
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Javascript, Python, PowerShell, SQL for automation of tasks and dataflows
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, Ansible
- Experience in using Machine Learning Models for correlation and trending would be an advantage
