About the Position
The Computer and Network Systems Engineer role at Pearl Energy No 3 Pty Ltd is a critical position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures the seamless operation of network systems, supports digital tools for customer account management, and enhances cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data.
Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and firewalls.
Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols to safeguard company and customer data.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with internal teams to support digital platforms for billing and customer service.
Experience managing Windows and Linux server environments desirable.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewall management.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools (e.g., intrusion detection systems).
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Document system configurations and maintain up-to-date records of IT assets.
RequirementsAustralian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in network administration, systems engineering, or a similar role.
Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.Experience managing Windows and Linux server environments desirable.
