Project Asset Accountant

• Initial 12 month contract
• Attractive hourly rate
• Brisbane CBD with up to 2 days WFH

About the role:

• Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with departmental business units and other stakeholders
• Support the validation of accruals for capital projects, ensuring alignment with invoicing in subsequent period
• Collaborate with the wider team to provide guidance and support on proposed capitalisation of completed assets
• Contribute to initiatives within the Financial Management project during the engagement period
• Perform other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate
• Maintain a strong client service focus for all project activities
• Ad-hoc duties as required

About you:

• Previous experience with SAP financial systems or other financial systems is advantageous
• Experience in infrastructure financial management, including project financial management and asset accounting
• Strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel and compiling and analysing financial reports
• Previous experience in financial management or project support roles
• Knowledge of infrastructure project management is beneficial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
