Position Overview:
As a Senior Electro-Mechanical Simulation Engineer, you will be pivotal in studying existing industry executions and in designing, analyzing, and optimizing electric motor and generator systems across a multitude of duty cycles to advance material R&D and support new business development.Your work will be essential in verifying and detailing the performance advantages of new electromagnetic materials, identifying operational benefits, and providing data that aids in targeting new products and markets. Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, you’ll deliver insights that inform design decisions and propel the development and sale of next-generation ultra-efficient products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Benchmarking & Analysis:
- Study existing industry executions to benchmark performance standards and identify areas for improvement in electric motor and generator systems.
- Analyze system performance across various duty cycles, focusing on verifying and showcasing the advantages of new electromagnetic materials.
- System Design & Optimization:
- Design, model, and optimize electro-mechanical systems to enhance material performance and operational efficiency.
- Develop simulations to replicate real-world conditions, providing insights that support material R&D and guide product development.
- Data-Driven Development:
- Generate data to verify new material recipes, supporting R&D in assessing operational advantages.
- Provide detailed performance data to assist business development in identifying and targeting new product applications and market opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure simulation results align with customer needs and project objectives.
- Communicate insights that guide design improvements, contributing to the development and commercialization of ultra-efficient products.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain thorough documentation of simulations, analysis, and results to support knowledge sharing and decision-making across teams.
- Prepare reports and presentations to convey findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Innovation & Future Development:
- Drive innovation in simulation methodologies, exploring advanced modelling techniques and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for product and material advancements.
- Contribute to the future development of next-generation ultra-efficient products, proposing ideas for improvements in performance, durability, and sustainability.
Requirements
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a strong focus on electro-mechanical systems and simulation.
- Proficiency in simulation and modelling software, such as ANSYS Motor CAD, ANSYS Maxwell, COMSOL, MATLAB, or similar.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetics, mechanics, and thermodynamics principles, with experience in multi-physics simulation.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages for simulation scripting and automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in complex systems design.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electro-mechanical simulation or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and optimizing simulations for electric motors, magnetic materials, or similar electromechanical systems.
- Experience in a product development environment, preferably in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or energy.
