Technical Service Consultant
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines. Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by working with customer to identify opportunities in the installed base, to improve system performance and operational performance.
This role is contributing to the Process Automation Process Industries Business Division based in MacKay, Queensland, Australia.
The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite
You will be mainly accountable for:- Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations.
- Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
- Taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams.
- Reviewing and modifying schematics, developing PLC, SCADA and Drive software.
- Coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities.
- Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma, or Trade qualification in an Electrical discipline (Electrician, Electrical Fitter, Millwright).
- Over 8 years of experience ideally in the Dragline Service/Mining segment.
- Current Australia Electrical License.
- Current Australia Issued Motor Vehicle Driver’s License.
- Commitment to Workplace OH&S and other legislation/regulations related to the mining industry.
