About the Role

The Strategic Business Director – Growth will be an integral member of our senior commercial team, responsible for driving our next phase of expansion. This is not a traditional Business Development role; rather, it is a highly strategic position focused on identifying, engaging, and onboarding top-tier brands that align with ArchiPro’s vision and market positioning.

You will leverage ArchiPro’s strong reputation and 10-year presence in New Zealand to develop high-impact growth strategies, build executive-level relationships, and secure long-term partnerships with brands that should be on our platform. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, and Client Success), you will ensure that every strategic partnership drives mutual value and cements ArchiPro’s position as the go-to destination for architectural and building industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Partnership Development
  • Identify and prioritise key brands and industry partners that are currently not part of the ArchiPro network, but hold high potential for mutual growth.
  • Lead end-to-end partnership development, including opportunity assessment, pitch strategy, contract negotiation, and onboarding coordination.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor partnership offerings, ensuring alignment with the brand’s needs and market opportunities.
  • Market Analysis & Growth Strategy
  • Conduct thorough market research to uncover white spaces and emerging trends that ArchiPro can capitalise on.
  • Develop and refine a comprehensive pipeline of strategic targets, prioritising opportunities that will have the biggest impact on ArchiPro’s ecosystem.
  • Provide ongoing analysis of competitor activities, adjusting approaches to maintain ArchiPro’s competitive advantage.
  • Thought Leadership & Relationship Building
  • Represent ArchiPro as a senior leader at industry conferences, networking events, and in key stakeholder discussions.
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with potential partners, positioning ArchiPro as an indispensable resource for growing their market presence.
  • Work with Marketing to develop co-branded campaigns and thought leadership content that amplifies the value of new partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Client Success and Product teams to ensure a seamless onboarding process and to maximise long-term success of newly acquired brands.
  • Provide strategic input to Marketing for the creation of customised sales and promotional materials that resonate with high-level brand executives.
  • Offer feedback to Product teams on evolving market needs and trends to influence platform enhancements that support partner growth.
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting
  • Establish clear KPIs and growth targets for onboarding new brands, revenue generation, and long-term partnership value.
  • Track and analyse partnership outcomes, providing regular reports and insights to executive leadership.
  • Continuously optimise outreach and partnership strategies based on performance data and changing market conditions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven Senior-Level Business Development or Commercial Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a strategic sales, partnership, or growth role, preferably from Advertising, MarTech, AdTech, Media and Agency.
  • Demonstrated success securing and managing high-value, long-term partnerships with recognised brands.
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset
  • Ability to identify new market and category opportunities and develop comprehensive strategies to leverage them.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting market data, competitor strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Outstanding Relationship Management
  • Track record of building trusted, executive-level relationships and guiding stakeholders through complex decision-making processes.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership & Collaboration Skills
  • Experience leading or influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Marketing, Product, Client Success, and other senior leaders to drive a unified growth strategy.
  • Industry Knowledge
  • Familiarity with the architecture, building, design, or construction ecosystem is highly desirable.
  • Passion for innovation in the property and design technology space.
