Salary: $76,000 – $77,000 + Superannuation

What You’ll Be Doing
This isn’t just about flipping pizzas (though we do make a great one) — it’s about leading a fast-paced kitchen, delivering consistency, and bringing passion to every meal. Your responsibilities will include:- Preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of à la carte dishes including woodfired pizzas, grilled meats, seafood, and pastas
- Planning and rotating seasonal menus, ensuring quality and innovation across all offerings
- Estimating food and labour costs and maintaining stock levels, including ordering and supplier coordination
- Supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene, timing, and teamwork
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations
- Monitoring food presentation, portion control, and quality consistency during service
- Managing kitchen workflow during peak periods and coordinating prep for large tour group bookings
- Contributing to the continual improvement of kitchen procedures and customer satisfaction
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of working experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Strong background in both Italian and modern Australian cuisine
- Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen with composure
- Clear understanding of kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling regulations
- Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities
- Strong work ethic with flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and split shifts
- A desire to live and work in one of Australia’s most unique remote towns
