Plasterer

Lowcock Builders are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Plasterer to join their team in Bowen QLD.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Decide plasterboard layout and install insulation and vapour barriers.
• Measure, mark and cut plasterboard, position and secure panels to walls, ceilings and battens
• Create corner beads and secure them in position
• Cover joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, and smooth them using wet brush and sandpaper
• Plumb and straighten angles, corners, ceiling and wall surfaces
• Apply and finish acoustic, fireproofing and insulating materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement and similar materials

Skills and Abilities:

• Must have a minimum of three years’ experience as a qualified Fibrous Plasterer or equivalent
• Certificate (III) in Plastering or relevant
• Ability to work in a team environment

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
