The Role:
As a Senior Product Owner on an 18-month contract within our Retail Payments team, you will oversee the development and delivery of a key new feature for our Retail Payments core products and services.
Day to day, this role will see you collaborate with stakeholders and clients to gather insights, translate their needs into product requirements, manage the product backlog, and prioritize features based on evolving business demands.
In this role, you will work closely with the Processing & Security Senior Product Manager and the Delivery Squad to develop the product roadmap, ensuring that progress is tracked and that the services meet the defined product requirements.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the product meets all necessary requirements for its launch, including customer and internal readiness. This will involve working with cross-functional teams and documenting processes and procedures to ensure a smooth, successful roll-out that delivers business value.
Proposed Position Requirements are:
- Demonstrated experience as an end-to-end Product Owner for payment processing and authorisation products or services.
- A solid understanding of Card Scheme solutions and related technologies and tools.
- Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including end-users and leadership across the organisation.
- Successful track record as a Product Owner, leading the rollout of products that align with the overall product vision.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Exceptional organisational and planning abilities, ensuring efficient execution of product initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on business impact and value.
- Highly analytical with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, effectively conveying complex ideas.
- Resilient, solution-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
