Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Curry Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on the preparation and cooking of traditional Indian curries and hot food items, ensuring authenticity, consistency, and high-quality presentation.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare, cook, and present a range of Indian curry dishes including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options
Assist in the preparation of gravies, sauces, and spice mixes in line with traditional recipes
Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes
Maintain food hygiene and safety standards in compliance with HACCP requirements
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations
Assist in minimising food wastage and maintaining cost control measures
Skills and Experience RequiredRelevant qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent industry experience
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience as a cook
Demonstrated experience in preparing Indian curry dishes
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
