We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to join our team and play a central role in overseeing our daily operations while ensuring the highest standards of service.
Restaurant Manager: Taste of the Himalayas – Brighton, SA
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring smooth coordination across front and back of house.
- Collaborate with chefs to plan seasonal menus and develop new dishes that reflect Himalayan authenticity while meeting customer expectations.
- Manage stock control, purchasing, and supplier negotiations to balance quality with cost-efficiency.
- Organise and deliver special events and functions, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Monitor dining facilities to ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, budgets, stock levels, and financial transactions.
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule staff to maintain high service standards and foster team growth.
- Engage with customers, respond to feedback, and maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
- Manage reservations and, when required, greet and seat guests to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotions to attract new patrons and retain loyal customers.
- Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of restaurant operations, including cost management and service delivery.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a related field.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, purchasing, and operational planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- A proactive approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding dining experiences.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- A natural leader who inspires and motivates a team.
- Adaptable and resourceful, with a hands-on approach.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
- Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation
