The Software Developer will report to the Company Directors and collaborate with the development team on the Guardian Control Centre application. Key responsibilities include analysing and developing applications according to specifications, as well as preparing documentation.A positive attitude and commitment to enhancing the .NET interface for the Guardian Control Centre are essential. The role requires self-motivation to effectively manage time constraints and deliverables, alongside communication with QIT Plus staff to support installation, troubleshooting, and operational needs across various technical environments.
The annual salary for the role is $110,000 plus Superannuation
Responsibilities include:
As a Software Developer at QIT Plus, you will be responsible for programming tasks related to the application suite and its integration with other products.- Designing, developing, and maintaining source code using Visual Studio to create web-based applications with C#.NET, Backbone.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
- Building integration activities such as JSON, REST, and APIs for mobile applications.
- Conducting unit and integration testing using standard techniques to ensure applications meet requirements.
- Debugging, diagnosing, and correcting application errors using established tools and standards.
- Managing projects by providing realistic timeframes and ensuring compliance with Australian standards and best practices.
- Setting and achieving quality assurance goals.
- Maintaining documentation and records on the QIT Plus server.
- Identifying, documenting, and ensuring security requirements comply with government standards for all key stakeholders.
- Installing and configuring access for authenticated users across various technical environments effectively.
- Managing remote systems, licensing, and software.
- Being self-motivated and well-organised in the role of C# .NET Developer, effectively managing your responsibilities independently, reviewing your contributions, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Determining IT operations service requirements by analysing user and departmental needs, prioritising modifications to core system applications, and developing documentation for problem resolution.
- Complying with Australian standards for data security and privacy requirements.
- Communicating with stakeholders and promoting the Guardian Statewide system to potential clients.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ or equivalent Microsoft Certification
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
