We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing team in Sydney. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate project cost estimates, coordinating tender submissions, and supporting project budgeting processes.

Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Analyse labour, materials, and subcontractor costs, preparing detailed BOQs and pricing schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to obtain pricing and project input.
- Coordinate and submit tenders and quotations for civil, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Assist in cost control processes, tracking project expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct site visits where required to gather estimating data and project scope understanding.
- Provide timely reporting on project costs, variations, and value engineering initiatives.
- Other duties as reasonably requested by management.
- A Diploma or higher qualification in Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in construction cost estimation, ideally in civil or commercial projects.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Knowledge of Australian building codes and tendering processes.
- Experience in project budgeting and cost control in a construction environment.
- Familiarity with project management tools and estimating software (e.g., Buildsoft, CostX, or similar).
- Current valid driver’s licence.
This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary of $76,000 – $90,000 per annum plus superannuation based on experience, for a 38-hour work week.
