ICT Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities
  1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and challenges.

Gather, document, and analyze functional and non-functional requirements for IT systems.

Develop business requirement specifications and process flow diagrams.

System and Process Improvement
  1. Evaluate existing IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.

Propose technology-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency and meet company goals.

Work with technical teams to implement and validate recommended changes.

Project Coordination and Communication
  1. Act as the liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors.

Support the design, testing, and deployment of IT systems and software.

Ensure all project activities are aligned with company policies and industry regulations.

Data Analysis and Reporting
  1. Perform data analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Create and deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations to management and stakeholders.

Compliance and Security
  1. Ensure IT systems comply with Australian data protection laws, environmental regulations, and industry standards.

Monitor and recommend IT practices that align with sustainable reselling and disposal operations.

Training and Support
  1. Conduct training sessions for staff on new systems and technologies.

Provide post-implementation support and address technical or operational issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT business analysis, preferably in the recycling, reselling, or e-waste management industry.

Proven track record of working in Australian corporate environments or familiarity with Australian business standards.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio).

Familiarity with IT systems, databases, and cloud-based solutions.

Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Industry Knowledge:

Understanding of IT asset management, recycling processes, and e-waste regulations in Australia.

Awareness of sustainable practices and circular economy principles.
