Who we are looking for
We are seeking a Fund & Corporate Accounting Manager to join our team.
The Fund & Corporate Accounting Manager ensures our clients have a great experience and is accountable for delivering fund accounting outcomes for assigned clients. This is a “hands-on leadership role” and will lead and be responsible for client onboarding, driving client platform adoption, client upsell and renewal, and client operations.This position plays a pivotal role in the growth of GXE and will work “at the speed of the client”. To succeed, you must develop great relationships with our clients and the GXE team. This will initially be an individual leader role; however, there may be an opportunity to build a small team supported by client demand and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Client-Focused Fund Accounting Operations:
- Oversee client onboarding, fund administration, tax compliance, and audit preparations.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation, timely reporting, and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Provide comprehensive accounting services to fund accounting clients, including NAV calculations, management reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, review of client-provided tax advice, and management of compliance obligations (QTFN, FATCA/CRS)
- Drive process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency.
- Regulatory Financial Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory financial requirements in the fintech sector.
- Implement internal financial controls and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead financial due diligence for audits, fundraising, and potential acquisitions.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Optimise cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations.
- Implement scalable financial processes to support growth.
- Client Engagement and Advocacy:
- Foster strong relationships with clients, serving as their advocate within GXE.
- Deliver exceptional client experiences through proactive communication and thought leadership.
- Strategy and Collaboration:
- Define and refine fund accounting strategies and deliverables.
- Collaborate with product teams to enhance platform capabilities based on client feedback.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and clients within the first month.
- Take ownership of GXE’s financial and fund accounting operations within three months.
- Develop and implement growth, efficiency, and compliance strategies in corporate finance and client accounting.
Requirements
You have- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- CA or CPA qualification required.
- 7- 10+ years of experience in financial leadership and fund accounting, ideally in private equity, real estate, or venture capital.
- Strong understanding of fintech regulatory frameworks and fund accounting practices.
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
