The Role
The Financial Controller role is newly created and will report directly to the CFO whilst leading a team. Overseeing all financial aspects for the company, you will be responsible for the outputs of the team, cultivating a high-performance culture whilst supporting the executive team on strategic objectives.
Continuous improvement will be a focus and your ability to identify opportunities for reducing time spent on tasks and automation of processes will be an important factor towards success in the role.
Success in the position will see you applying your strong technical accounting knowledge, combined with commercial acumen and effective leadership skills
Key Responsibilities will include;- Prepare periodical financials; provide leadership with accurate and timely financial information and results
- Cashflow management and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with tax obligations
- Improve and uplift internal controls frameworks
- Establish effective communication and business partnering with all levels of colleagues and external contacts
- Ensure adherence to all relevant compliance requirements
- Support in strategic planning and annual budget
- Enhance capability of existing team and take lead on process improvement initiatives
This role has significant growth potential and will evolve as the business and this position matures and as such, progression for a Head of Finance position is a very realistic pathway.
Your Profile
As an accomplished finance leader (CA or CPA), you will have demonstrated experience in a similar position minimum of 3 years in a people leadership position. Proven experience of working with executives and managing a high performing team will be essential.
Your technical accounting knowledge will be very strong and your ability to influence team members, external partners and leadership will be key to success.
With a growth mindset and ambition to further your career towards the executive band will be important to ensure your success in this position.
