If you love the unique, let us indulge you. We are looking for a full-time Hotel Services Manager (Head Housekeeper) to lead our Housekeeping team. This role requires an energetic, service-oriented professional dedicated to enhancing guest experiences.The role will ensure seamless operations across all guest touchpoints, from pre-arrival to departure. The role will also oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and lead a team of passionate hospitality professionals.
Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 per annumLocation: Byron Bay, NSW 2481
About the role:
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Oversee and manage daily housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Assign tasks, manage rosters, and supervise housekeepers, laundry staff, and room attendants.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain exceptional standards.
- Monitor inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
- Implement and enforce safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff, fostering a high-performance work culture.
- Work closely with front office and maintenance teams to address guest requests and room maintenance needs.
- Manage lost and found procedures, ensuring timely resolution of guest inquiries.
- Develop and update housekeeping policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service standards.
- Ensure seamless communication with concierge, front desk, and guest services teams to enhance guest experiences.
Qualifications/ Experience / Skills:
- Certificate III or IV in Hospitality Management, Business, Leadership, or relevant field (or extensive experience as a substitute).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or high-end establishment in a housekeeping managerial/leadership role.
- At least one year of Australian experience in a similar role is essential.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and staff management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Exceptional attention to detail and guest service orientation.
- Knowledge of housekeeping software, inventory management, and hygiene regulations.
