Finance Manager | Health
The Company
We're seeking a skilled Finance Manager for a leading NFP in Melbourne's north. This organisation provides support to a range of ethnicities through their health services.
Reporting to the GM of Finance, you'll lead a team of five and oversee AR/AP, payroll, and financial compliance. Key duties include month-end processing, journals, accruals, reconciliations, budgeting/forecasting support, and statutory reporting (BAS, FBT, ABS).You'll also manage grant acquittals and ensure funding compliance with internal stakeholders. Looking for a great communicator, willing to develop and mentor staff. Advanced excel skills and Not For Profit background would be advantageous.
The Role
As the Finance Manager your duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Financial Reporting
- Accruals
- Posting journals
- Overseeing AP and AR function
- Overseeing payroll function
- Mentoring/ developing staff
- Assisting with Audits
- Assisting with BAS and Tax Compliance
- Assisting with Budgeting/ Forecasting
- Presenting to GM Finance/ Board of directors
- CA/ CPA or Part Qualification is required.
- 5 years of experience in Financial/ Management accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to complete Statutory Reports.
- Ability to analyse financial data and prepare accurate financial reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with Xero desirable but not required.
- Not for profit/ Government Organisation experience preferred.
