About the Role

The National Sales Manager is a strategic, full-time position focused on leading Allcon’s internal and external sales teams to achieve and exceed annual revenue and gross profit targets. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will refine and implement effective sales processes, establish clear performance KPIs, and coach your team to ensure consistent success.

This is a fast moving role that offers the opportunity to drive significant growth across Victoria and New South Wales while managing key accounts and spearheading new business initiatives. Occasional travel between states will be required to support the team and build relationships with major clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Accountability: Inspire and coach the sales team to meet and exceed KPIs while holding them accountable for performance and growth.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement innovative sales plans to drive business growth across Victoria and New South Wales, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Client Relationships: Manage and expand relationships with key accounts while identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and securing new business.
  • Performance Monitoring & Training: Set clear KPIs, track team performance, conduct regular coaching, and implement training to close skill gaps and foster continuous improvement.
  • Process Optimisation & Collaboration: Refine sales processes and work closely with marketing and other departments to align strategies and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Market Insights & Adaptation: Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Territory Management & Customer Retention: Oversee client coverage across regions, plan travel schedules, and implement strategies to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • 5+ years of proven success in sales management in construction-related industries is required.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue and gross profit targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor high-performing sales teams.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Experience documenting and implementing effective sales processes.

Desirable:

  • Experience in construction materials or related industries.
  • Familiarity with managing internal and external sales teams.
  • Exposure to large account management and project tendering.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g. NetSuite) and Excel for reporting.
