Welders/Metal Fabricators

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Welders/Metal Fabricators to join their team in Wodonga VIC or Albury NSW.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Fabricate new metal components in accordance with supplied drawings and specifications
• Use a range of welding techniques to apply heat or electrical current to metal parts to join them together
• Mechanical installation works – new and existing equipment
• Equipment Maintenance – preventative and reactive
• Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance on machines in order to restore full functionality and - safety performance, and maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal to produce machines and equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard.
• Keep the workstation clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment.
• Coordinate workflow with other members of the team and third-party agents.
• Execute welds in a professional manner and ensure conformance with specifications.
• Work independently or with a small team to complete large and complex projects.
• Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot problems on a daily basis, in addition to fabrication duties.
• Assemble and Weld Pipe, Flanges, Fittings to required standards (mild steel and stainless steel)

Skills & Abilities:

• Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication trade) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of three years’ experience in this role or similar
• Critical thinking
• Monitoring
• Control precision
• Near vision

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
