About the Position
The Fitter position at TMP Transport & Farms Pty Ltd involves maintaining and repairing agricultural machinery and transport vehicles to ensure optimal performance during farming and logistics operations. This role is critical to supporting the company’s mango production and distribution activities, requiring technical expertise and reliability in a dynamic, rural work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on agricultural machinery and transport vehicles.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment complies with safety and operational standards.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with farm and logistics teams to prioritize equipment availability during peak seasons.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
RequirementsAustralian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications: Minimum Certificate III in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Fitting, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, or Agricultural Mechanics).Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance, or repair of agricultural or transport equipment.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems.Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license (heavy vehicle license desirable).
