We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified Scheduler/Maintenance Planners, ideally with experience in field operations or maintenance planning.
These are new roles being introduced as we develop this capability across 8 Observing Operation Hubs around Australia. You will be part of a national cohort who will actively contribute to the Bureau's uplift in planning and scheduling maturity over the next 2 years.
The primary focus of the role is to develop, prioritise, organise, schedule and monitor work orders to support the delivery of preventive maintenance, calibration, inspection, installation/upgrades and repair of our weather observing equipment, in accordance with the Bureau's Maintenance Program and Service Level Agreements.
The successful candidates will liaise with stakeholder groups on moderate to very complex operational and system support tasks, review and contribute to working documentation, prepare and deliver reports and provide asset management system expertise where required.
Whilst working under the general guidance of the Hub Manager, the role will be significantly autonomous. It is a lead role in each Hub and will not have direct reports initially, but the function may grow in time.
