Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) [Star Kids Long Day Care and Preschool]
Our client, ASK Business Group Pty Ltd trading as Star Kids Long Day Care and Preschool, is seeking multiple Early Childhood (Pre-primary School) Teachers to join their supportive and collaborative team in Lakemba.
As a full-time Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality educational experiences for children aged 0–5 years, supporting their cognitive, social, and emotional development. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and success of Star Kids Long Day Care and Preschool, a reputable early learning centre.
These are full-time positions offering a competitive salary package ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
Scope of the Role:- Design and implement structured learning programs tailored to children’s developmental stages, incorporating both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Deliver intentional, play-based learning experiences that support early literacy, communication, social development, and fine and gross motor skills.
- Facilitate both group and individual learning activities that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and cooperative interaction among children.
- Deliver structured lessons in literacy, numeracy, and language development through guided discussions, storytelling, music, and interactive learning experiences.
- Monitor and assess children’s development, identifying any emerging learning, behavioural, or health concerns, and respond in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure children’s health, safety, nutrition, and well-being are consistently maintained through appropriate supervision and risk management practices.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of learning outcomes, developmental progress, and daily activities in line with service requirements.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with families, including providing updates on children’s progress and participating in meetings where required.
- Work collaboratively with the educational team to ensure consistent delivery of the curriculum and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the implementation of the centre’s curriculum in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and regulatory expectations.
- Provide guidance and support to educators and students on placement to maintain consistent teaching practices and professional standards.
- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Education and Care Services National Regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (AQF Level 7 or higher)
- Current NESA Accreditation (Conditional, Provisional, or Proficient) or eligibility to obtain accreditation prior to commencement.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in an early childhood education setting, with demonstrated involvement in curriculum planning and child development assessment.
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and early childhood development principles.
- A strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including the Education and Care Services National Law and Education and Care Services National Regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and team members.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and meet compliance requirements.
- A current Working With Children Check (WWCC), and valid First Aid, CPR, and Child Protection certifications.
- Full support and mentorship for NESA Teacher Accreditation (Provisional to Proficient) and ongoing NQF compliance training.
- A consistent full-time roster within our Lakemba-based centre, featuring dedicated off-the-floor planning time to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery.
