Job Description:

As the Transformation Director, you will work closely with the senior leadership team, including the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Data Officer, to spearhead initiatives that drive efficiency, growth, innovation, and leadership for our clients.

You will help ensure that Suncorp remains at the forefront of the evolving insurance market while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and transformation within the agency.

Day to day in this role, you’ll get to:

Lead Transformation Strategy:
  • Own the overall transformation agenda for Leo Burnett and Suncorp, focusing on driving efficiency, business growth, and positioning the partnership at the forefront of industry innovation and thought leadership.
Strategic Planning for Growth:
  • Collaborate with Suncorp’s leadership and the Chief Strategy Officer to understand growth aspirations and craft innovative strategies that align marketing, creative, and operational efforts to meet Suncorp’s long-term business objectives. Ensure alignment with Suncorp’s strategic pivot toward in the insurance market over the next 3-5 years.
Innovative Insurance Marketing:
  • Lead the effort to position Suncorp as the most innovative and future-facing insurance brand in Australia. Oversee the development of a compelling marketing strategy that reflects Suncorp's evolving vision and enhances its competitive edge.
Efficiency and Creativity Balance:
  • Identify and implement short-term and long-term efficiencies across processes, working closely with creative teams to ensure that these efficiencies do not come at the cost of creativity or quality.
Be the Voice of Change:
  • Act as a champion for new capabilities, emerging trends, and fresh insights, driving continuous innovation within the agency and across client work. Bring a forward-thinking, data-driven perspective to client engagements.
Operational Strategy and Change Management:
  • Oversee the integration of operational strategies, change management practices, and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring the agency and its clients are always moving forward in a competitive landscape.
Data-Driven Business Model:
  • Collaborate with the Chief Data Officer to develop and implement a data-informed business model that enhances client relationships, optimises campaign performance, and drives measurable results.
Client and Agency Leadership:
  • Work closely with other key clients, to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships. Lead the integration of client needs with the agency’s creative and strategic capabilities to ensure high-level satisfaction and success.
Foster a Culture of Innovation:
  • Continuously explore and integrate the latest industry trends, technologies, and capabilities, ensuring Leo Burnett remains at the cutting edge of creative and digital transformation.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience:
  • Strong experience (8+ years) in a senior client leadership or transformation role, ideally within an agency or consulting environment. Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex transformation projects across multiple sectors, with a deep understanding of the insurance and financial services industries.
Strategic Expertise:
  • Strong background in strategic planning, operational efficiency, and business growth with a keen ability to identify and implement innovative solutions.
Leadership Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership and influencing abilities, with experience working closely with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders. Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive change across complex client relationships.
Creative and Operational Balance:
  • A unique ability to balance operational excellence with creative innovation. Understanding how to leverage data, technology, and creativity to deliver business results.
