• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fibreglass, and drywall materials.
• Install framing, windows, doors, flooring, cabinetry, and other structures.
• Erect scaffolding and other structures required for building projects.
• Construct and install building components, including staircases, rafters, and beams.
• Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to meet specific project requirements.
• Apply finishes to wood and other surfaces, including staining, varnishing, and painting.
• Inspect and repair structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, other tradespeople, and clients to meet project goals.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure their proper usage.
• Ensure adherence to worksite safety regulations and practices.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.
• Qualifications/Attributes:???
• Must hold a relevant Certificate III in Carpentry with at least 2 years of on-the-job training, a Certificate IV, or at least 3 years of experience in lieu of qualifications.
• Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Salary Range: $100,000 + p.a. excluding superannuation.
