DS College is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking General Manager to lead the operational and strategic functions of the institution. This leadership role is central to ensuring that the organisation staff work in harmony with our academic vision, maintaining excellence in service delivery, governance, and resource management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership and direction to all the staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Consulting regularly with the team on critical operational matters, including course delivery, staffing, student support, financial planning, technology needs, and enrolment strategy.
  • Establishing strategic plans, institutional policies, and performance standards in line with the College’s goals and the regulatory frameworks of the Standards for RTOs 2015, the ESOS Act, and the National Code.
  • Overseeing daily operations to ensure effective execution of policy, program delivery, compliance adherence, and optimal use of resources across the College.
  • Managing key business functions such as finance, marketing, human resources, student services, procurement, and general administration to support institutional efficiency and growth.
  • Monitoring emerging industry trends, internal performance metrics, and changes in the regulatory environment, and responding proactively through appropriate directives to staff and operational adjustments.
  • Approving and managing the allocation of budgets and funding for major initiatives, including campus development, compliance investments, academic program enhancements, and technology integration.
  • Directing all CRICOS-related functions, including international student enrolments, agent partnerships, visa compliance, and the delivery of a quality experience for overseas learners.
  • Representing DS College at external events, including educational forums, government consultations, compliance audits, public hearings, and professional conferences.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders such as ASQA, education agents, and community partners to maintain strong relationships and uphold the College’s compliance and reputation.
  • Coordinating the preparation of key institutional documents such as strategic reports, operational plans, budgets, forecasts, and audit responses, and ensuring their delivery to governing bodies or external regulators.
  • Leading initiatives in innovation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement to ensure DS College remains competitive, student-centred, and future-ready in both domestic and international education markets.
Experience and qualification
  • 3 years’ experience in management role.
  • The individual must possess a Master of Business Administration (MBA) qualification.
