In this role, you'll:

Work as part of the Engineering & Maintenance Supply Chain team . This role will see you join the biggest rail supply chain in the country and be responsible for the management and delivery of a wide range of fleet supply chain services and projects.

Manage staff who are part of the entire supply chain process, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards. This includes developing and implementing strategies to streamline operations and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality service.

Be offered a unique opportunity to innovate and implement cutting-edge supply chain solutions, directly influencing the success of delivering reliable Train services to people of Sydney. It is assessed that over time the balance of this role will move from people management and service delivery , to development and analysis of future supply chain delivery opportunities.

This is a permanent role - based in Auburn.

About you

You are an experienced supply chain professional with a strategic vision with proven track record in rail / transportation or another heavy engineering maintenance support environment. Rail experience is not essential however experience within manufacturing is required.

You have experience with leading activities with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation and other functions to optimise the supply chain.

You will be driven and have experience with high-level decision-making and the ability to influence and inspire your teams and stakeholders.

Your expertise in developing and implementing supply chain strategies and solutions to improve cost, quality, and service will see you successfully lead and manage the supply chain team to ensure efficient operations.

You will have excellent communication skills and proven experience establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors as well as experience with high-level decision-making and change management.

You hold tertiary qualifications in Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or a relevant discipline or have equivalent industry experience.

Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) are preferred.
