About the roleGold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced administration officer to join our team working across a seven day rotating roster AM’s and PM’s. You should have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality service to patients, visitors, staff and VMO’s.

Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Your duties will include- Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
- Manage a busy emergency reception desk
- Answer and redirect calls
- Prepare admission paperwork
- Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Perform Health Fund Checks as required
- Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
- Coordinate with staff from other departments
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Essential Criteria:
- Previous administrative experience working in a high volume customer centric role. Medical exp preferred but nor essential
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong time management and organisation skills
- Ability to follow instructions and take directions as required
- Previous experience in a hospital or medical environment will be highly regarded
