Business Development Manager - Victoria

Menulog is currently seeking a full time Business Development Manager to join our high performing sales team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the BDM will be responsible for building and executing a growth sales plan to ensure maximum numbers of restaurants are digitalised on the Menulog technology platform.
Key Responsibilities- Identifying leads for new restaurants that aren’t currently on the Menulog platform with the aim of targeting them for sign up
- Setting meetings with new restaurants with the aim of signing them on to the Menulog ecommerce Delivery Service via phone or face to face visits.
- Completing contract paperwork for new clients and then handing the account across to the restaurant onboarding team to ensure smooth receipt and installation of devices to the restaurant and a quick turnaround to digitalise the restaurant onto our ecommerce platform
- Working with your existing estate to provide upsell opportunities and to maximise the relationship between the 2 parties, ensuring that expectations are set around service to Menulog customers to maximise Menulog’s consumer satisfaction.
- Working closely with our Business Intelligence and Marketing departments to identify target areas, cuisines and restaurants.
- Working closely with the other BDM’s and BDE team to maximise restaurant growth across Australia and New Zealand.
- Working closely with the marketing and project team on merchandise activities to promote the Menulog brand to consumers and future restaurant partners.
- Preparing and presenting sales reports as requested
- Monitoring and reporting on competitor activity
- 2+ years sales experience with demonstrated track record of success within an ecommerce or similar IT industry
- An understanding of how an ecommerce platform can benefit individual small business and the ability to sell the benefits of ecommerce to a small business that has little or no digital presence
- Previous experience in using a CRM system such as salesforce
- Ability to sell and present ideas in a compelling way, adjusting your style to a wide variety of audiences
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Track record of successfully negotiating and delivering sales

- Fast learner with the ability to think on your feet
- The ability to move quickly to meet short lead times for proposals, ensuring client objectives are met
- Full clean Australian driving license.

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 + uncapped commission + superannuation
