Payroll Officer
The Company
Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well-established and nationally recognised industry leader located in Port Melbourne on a permanent full-time basis.
In this position you will work closely with another outstanding payroll professional to execute both weekly and monthly payroll for the group. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to the HR Team on payroll related matters and HR administration tasks.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance and the Head of HR, your duties will include:
- End-to-end payroll processing for both weekly & monthly paid employees
- Interpreting award, enterprise agreements, and employment contracts
- Processing salary increases, back pays, superannuation, and termination payments
- End of month reporting
- Resolving payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Month end and year end payroll tax reconciliations
- Maintaining employee personnel files
- Maintenance and review of employee entitlements.
- Leave and overtime reporting
- Involvement in annual salary review processes
Your Profile
To be successful, you will be an experienced and competent Payroll Officer who is able to work autonomously and take ownership of an end-to-end payroll function.
Excellent communication skills, a customer service approach, and the ability to work to deadlines is also required. You will high attention to detail, the ability to problem solve, and a proven ability to pick up new systems, processes, and procedures.
