Live Streaming Technician / Broadcast Engineer (Casual / Contract)
Position Summary:
Atlantis Digital is seeking a reliable and technically proficient Live Streaming Technician to operate live broadcasts for council and corporate meetings scheduled every few weeks. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical competence, the ability to remain focused during live broadcast conditions, and the capability to troubleshoot technical issues in real time.
Key Responsibilities: Operate live streaming systems for council and corporate meetings
Set up, configure, and operate TriCaster live production systemsManage Stream Deck controls, cameras, audio sources, and switching workflows
Integrate and manage PowerPoint and presentation content into live broadcasts
Monitor stream quality, audio levels, and broadcast integrity throughout sessions
Troubleshoot technical issues during live streams (network, hardware, software, audio/video)
Ensure recordings and live feeds meet broadcast and archival standardsMaintain professionalism and composure during live public meetings
Essential Requirements: Proven experience with TriCaster systems (TriCaster TC1, Mini, or equivalent)
Experience using Stream Decks in live production environmentsKnowledge of live streaming platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, Teams, Zoom, Facebook Live, etc.)
Ability to integrate PowerPoint and presentation content into live broadcasts
Strong troubleshooting skills across AV, IT, and networking environments
Demonstrated ability to stay focused and operate independently during live broadcasts
Availability to film and attend meetings on a recurring basis
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
Formal qualifications in live streaming, broadcast engineering, AV, or media productionExperience working with councils, corporate meetings, or government broadcasts
Knowledge of NDI workflows, Dante audio, and networked AV systems
Familiarity with Companion, automation workflows, and remote production control
Valid driver’s licence and own transport
Engagement Type and Pay: Casual or contract-based engagement
Meetings scheduled every few weeks, with potential for additional bookingsHourly Rate: $40–$60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
