- Salary range: From $39.00 hourly + 11.5% Super
- The wage is based on the Schads Award Level 3.2, the rate will depend upon the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate
In your role as a Residential Support Worker, you will encourage our client to become independent and lead a fulfilling life by offering him person-centered support, community access and personal care. You will join a collaborative and supportive team, who will provide individualized training so you can best support him.
You will be a compassionate and reliable worker with an empathic approach to service delivery, with a flexible and adaptable style, a sense of humor, and meticulous attention to detail.
You will be fully experienced in working with NDIS participants who live daily with:
- Autism, Epilepsy, ADHD, Bi Polar disorder, intellectual disability, some behaviors of concern,
- Previous nursing experience highly sort for his Epilepsy management overnight.
- Working with Adults is a must our client is 32 y.o. male.
You will be working in his own home in Greensborough. Local candidates highly preferred.
To start with we have a shift available each week on Tuesday, with inactive overnight shift.
Some flexibility to fill in for other staff during holidays or absenteeism. The inactive shift includes a 2 hour window of active support should it be needed during the night for his Epilepsy management.
The shift is the following:
- 5 pm -11 pm night shift
- 11 pm -7 am in active sleepover
- 7 am - 9 am end of shift
Please note the end time of 9 am is not negotiable.
About YouYou will meet the following requirements:
- Male/Female Aged: 26-40 y.o.
- Students not accepted for this role.
- Clear concise spoken English and excellent written skills
- Ability to complete client management notes
- Ability to use Microsoft word, email, and use an i Pad and APPS
- Completed CHC43115 - Certificate IV in Disability or other studies
- Experience working with Autism, Epilepsy, ADHD, Bi Polar disorder, Intellectual disability
- Epilepsy trained, Midazolam trained (training provided)
- Medication trained
- Meal preparation, ability to cook and clean premises as required
- Current Victorian Drivers licence.
- Completed First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate - "Quality, Safety & You"
- Current Working with Children Check VIC for paid employment.
- Ability to work the hours outlined above which are not negotiable.
