Director of Property, Space & Infrastructure Projects

We are seeking a strategic leader who will help shape the physical environment of our university campuses, by leading the Urban Design Framework, Strategic Space Management Plan and Wayfinding Plan across multiple campuses and delivering key programs of associated work.

As the Director Property, Space and Infrastructure Projects, you will lead the delivery of infrastructure capital projects, ensuring efficient delivery within budget while achieving value for money and driving impact to the campus experience.

Your expertise and collaborative, action-oriented style will be essential in aligning our property strategy with the university’s strategic objectives, academic mission, flagship research and long-term goals. You will also oversee the management of the university’s commercial property assets.

This is a senior position reporting to the Chief Operating Officer with a five-year fixed term contract.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to co-create and execute strategic plans for property and infrastructure that align with organisational strategy and goals (including Master Plans, Urban Design Frameworks, Strategic Space Management and Wayfinding).
  • Extensive experience in leading the composition of business cases and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects within a complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, including budget development, financial modelling, and reporting in the context of property and capital projects.
  • Experience in managing property portfolios, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and estate planning.
  • A proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, and an action orientated, problem solving mindset.

Qualifications

Degree (and/or postgraduate) qualification in relevant field, e.g. Property Management, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
