We are seeking a qualified and experienced Painter to carry out a range of professional painting and decorating tasks on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and finishing touches in accordance with specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications to determine required materials and work procedures.
• Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, filling holes and cracks, sanding, and priming.
• Mixing and matching paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications.
• Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Erecting scaffolding and ladders as needed for work at height.
• Ensuring surfaces are finished to a high standard and meet safety and durability requirements.
• Cleaning tools and work areas, and safely disposing of waste materials.
• Following all relevant health and safety regulations on-site.
• Providing guidance or supervision to apprentices or assistants if required.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in painting and decorating.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Able to work efficiently with and without supervision.

Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
