Are you a senior risk professional ready to take on a leadership role with influence at Board and executive level? We are seeking an Executive Risk Manager to lead the risk function at a growing Australian superannuation fund.

This is a high-impact role, providing strategic oversight and ensuring the organisation continues to meet its regulatory obligations while embedding a strong culture of proactive risk management.

The Opportunity
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the enterprise risk management framework.
  • Provide strategic advice to the executive team and Board on risk, compliance, and governance matters.
  • Oversee risk monitoring, assessment, and reporting across all business units.
  • Engage with regulators (APRA, ASIC) and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Partner with business leaders to integrate risk management into decision-making and strategy.
  • Lead and mentor a team while building risk capability across the organisation.
  • Drive best-practice risk management in alignment with regulatory expectations and member-first principles.
About You
  • Extensive senior risk management experience within superannuation.
  • Strong knowledge of APRA Prudential Standards, ASIC requirements, and relevant governance frameworks.
  • The ability to engage effectively with Boards, executives, and regulators with credibility and influence.
  • A proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, law, risk management, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications and professional memberships highly regarded).
