Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics
With rapid expansion in SEQH, we're seeking highly skilled Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics to join our team at our Toowoomba Workshop. You will need to be a Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to be successful in this position.
POSITION OVERVIEW:Reporting to the Workshop Manager and Depot Manager, you'll play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment. Your responsibilities include fault diagnosis, routine maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
- Conducting thorough inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
- Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all work is performed to industry standards
- 3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Certification III in Heavy Machine Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- MC driver license (advantage)
- Competitive full-time rates of up to $45 per hour, plus OT
