Accounting Officer
Overview:
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Accounting Officer to join our finance team and support our Pacific business, based in Sydney.
You will be responsible for the Accounts Payable function and the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, the management of employee and company credit cards and providing support to Finance team (eg reporting, accruals, SOX requirements) and collaborate with business partners (eg Purchase Orders creation, analysis report) as required.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Process all supplier invoices into SAP Creditors subledger for Pacific region
- Verify & process staff expense claims submitted via Concur
- Process payments to suppliers
- Maintain creditor subledger & reconcile to creditor statements
- Ensure any supplier queries are handled in an efficient & professional manner
- Ensure all payments are made in a timely manner and no interruption to the business
- Review and approval of SAP Vendors Master Data
- Manage employee credit card limits and follow up on overdue employee claims
- Prepare assigned analysis report to business managers
- Assist in month end processes including preparation of accruals and analysis
- Responsive and support business needs
- Assist the business and Finance Dept in meeting compliance requirements - local (tax returns, statutory reporting) and corporate policies & procedures. (FCPA, Corporate Accounting policies, SOX, Corporate Management guidelines, etc). Remediate any internal and external audit findings
- Participate and contribute to project as required
What You Bring:
- Sound knowledge of accounting practices & standards.
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Attention to detail, positive attitude, strong work ethic & ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong team focus.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting major
- 1-2 years’ experience in similar role with SAP knowledge on PTP (procure-to-pay process)
- Competent user in SAP ERP system
- Competent user of MS Office - Excel (Intermediate / advanced level ) ; Outlook ; etc
