About The Company
Our client is a well-established electrical contracting company based in Millmerran, which is located within the Toowoomba Region. They have been providing quality service to our customers for over 50 years and specialise in all areas of electrical work for the intensive agriculture, industrial and domestic sectors.
About The RoleDue to their continued growth, they have a full-time position available for an experienced Electrical Linesworker to join their team and the successful applicant will be required to carry out the following duties:
Assist the team with projects that involve external electrical infrastructure and ensure a seamless transition from the grid to the building’s electrical system.
Maintain the continuity and safe connection of external power supply to our residential and industrial projects to enable the team to complete works safely and efficiently.
Maintenance and repairs on external electrical infrastructure such as overhead and underground power lines.
Attend to breakdown and emergencies and diagnose and troubleshoot issues with conductors, cables and equipment.
Installation of aerial and underground cables and equipment.
Conduct switching operations.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Fully licensed Electrical Linesman with quality workmanship and attention to detailRelevant Certificate III qualifications or equivalent
At least 3 years of relevant working experience
Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills
Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and undertake various tasks
Clear and effective communication skills with clients and team members
Proficient in handling administrative duties efficiently
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safe work practices
Comprehensive understanding of electrical codes and standards
The successful candidate will be offered at ranged $48 - $51 per hour plus super.
