As a team, we leverage Agile ways of working to help our team develop their skills while also making sure our team is focusing on solving the most complex problems for both our customers and team.

What you’ll do

The Senior Manager Analytics & Insights role is part of the wiq team and dedicated to leading analytics initiatives to deliver into Woolworths MarketPlus (WMP), Woolworths Group's marketplace platform business.

This role will be pivotal in driving a structured approach to analytics prioritisation and delivery for requests from across the WMP banners, with the goal of increasing delivery speed, trust and creating additional capacity to solve for advanced analytics use cases.

What you’ll do
  • Partner closely with WMP business teams to refine and prioritise requests, develop and ratify business use cases, identify and remediate data gaps, and quantify value/benefits of analytics work.
  • Oversee insights delivery by wiq resources servicing WMP. Manage the delivery & production of data assets to support BI and analytics use cases, with an emphasis on reusability and unifying business data from disparate operational tech stacks.
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders (domain leads/analysts, data product owners, others) to enable trade-off discussions for conflicting priorities, and provide clear delivery updates to ensure alignment of analytics workload with business objectives.
  • Manage the team’s backlog, including addressing technical debt as part of BAU capacity.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a proven analytics professional, who has strength in business partnering, is a clear and confident communicator, and has experience in complex problem solving.
  • Ability to interpret data to derive actionable insights that will drive business value (problem structuring, issue tree thinking, hypotheses)
  • Strong focus on delivery governance, priority setting and resolution, and managing team performance to OKRs/agreed standards
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and technologies, including SQL, data warehousing, and BI platforms such as Looker, DBT and ideally exposure to working in a cloud environment such as GCP
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building analytical assets (i.e. automating repeated processes and general purpose view/table structures supporting analytics/insights/BI use cases).
  • Communication skills, written (story-telling, slide packs) and verbal along with relationship building skills
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to guide and coach team members to deliver the best outcomes
