Role Description:We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in Indian cuisine and traditional sweets while leading a dynamic culinary team. While our company is registered in Melbourn, this position is based at our Perth restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the kitchen team in preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes and traditional sweets to the highest standards.
- Develop innovative menu items while maintaining the authenticity of Indian flavors.
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and timely service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Manage inventory and order supplies, focusing on high-quality ingredients.
- Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff to uphold culinary excellence.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including scheduling and performance management.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to improve existing recipes and develop new ones.
- Formal education or culinary qualification (mandatory).
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar leadership role.
- Extensive expertise in Indian cuisine, including traditional sweets.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Strong skills in spice blending, flavor profiling, and innovative plating techniques.
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
