About the Role
  • Provide clinical leadership to the Logan Older Adult Team. The post holder will work alongside the team

leader and be supported by a MDT including a occupational therapist, social worker, psychologists, clinical nurses, CNC, dietician, exercise physiologist and advanced peer worker. The team also has 1 registrar which the position holder will share with another part time (0.6 FTE) senior medical officer.

  • Provides specialist community based mental health services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service,
  • Provides inpatient care as required, including participating in the on-call roster
  • Provides inpatient consultations as requested
  • Participates in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings
  • Supervision and teaching of registrars, junior doctors and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Participation and or leadership of research and quality improvement activities
